Terms & Conditions
Last updated: October 24, 2026
This page is a general technical template and is not legal advice.
1. Acceptance of terms
By installing, opening or using Frontend Contract Guard (the “app”), you accept these terms. They apply to the desktop app and to the web app.
If you do not agree, stop using the app. On desktop you can uninstall it; on the web, stop using the server.
2. What the app does
The app helps you compare how a web front end uses an API. It reads API traffic you capture (HAR files or browser recordings), compares it with a saved baseline, finds contract changes and shows which source files they may affect.
It also includes an API workbench and an API Test Lab, where you send requests and run tests that you start yourself.
- Capture and compare recorded API traffic.
- Analyse your source code statically. It is parsed and never run.
- Send requests and run tests only when you press a button.
3. Your data and where it is stored
On desktop, your data is stored on your computer, in the app’s data folder. On the web app, it is stored on the server that your operator runs, and that operator can access it.
Before anything is stored, authentication headers, cookies, tokens and configured sensitive values are replaced with placeholders. The Privacy page explains this in detail.
5. Limits and safety
The app enforces limits on users, request rate and duration, and runs one load test per project at a time. A load test stops by itself when too many requests fail, and you can stop it at any time.
6. No guarantees
The app is provided “as is”, without warranties. Results come from the traffic and requests that were actually captured or sent. A clean result does not prove that your system is free of defects, vulnerabilities or regressions.
7. Third-party services
The app does not send captured request or response bodies to AI providers, analytics services or other third parties. Links to your repository host open only when you click them.
The systems you test belong to someone else, and their own terms apply to how you may use them.
8. Intellectual property
The app and its source code belong to Mohammed Hussein. All rights are reserved, and no licence is granted except as stated in the repository. Your own data and code remain yours.
9. Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, the author is not liable for any loss, downtime or damage caused by using the app or by tests you run with it, including load that you send to a system.
10. Changes to these terms
These terms may change. The date at the top shows the latest version. When they change in a way that matters, the app asks you to accept them again.
